How To Save Big Bucks On A Laptop Computer
If you're a bargain shopper looking to get the most bang for your buck, you'll find no shortage of deals on the Internet. And that's particularly true in the fast-changing world of laptop computers, where you'll find three bargain sources right at your fingertips: 1. Clearance Sales Just like many brick-and-mortar retail stores, many computer manufacturer websites have clearance sections. On these web pages, you can find great deals on last year's leftovers. These are all new products (unless otherwise stated) and carry their original warranties. The only difference is that the price has been reduced. Of course the manufacturers aren't the only ones with clearance merchandise. Major electronics and office supply retailers also include clearance sections on their websites, where you may be able to find the laptop bargain of your dreams. 2. Refurbished Laptops Factory refurbs represent another great bargain opportunity. It works something like this: - Joe Blow buys a new laptop, but decides a week later he doesn't like the color.
- He takes it back to the store within the store's stated return period, so the store is stuck with it.
- Since they can't sell the laptop as new, the store sends it back to the manufacturer to be "refurbished."
- The factory inspects that laptop to make sure everything works right, and then ships it out to a retailer that deals in refurbs.
- The refurb retailer then sells it to you at a great discount off the original price.
Buying a refurb can literally save you hundreds. 3. Online Auctions You can always logon to an auction website and find a great deal on a used laptop. However, beware! Buying anything used carries with it some risk. Buying a used laptop carries more risk than most people should be willing to take. When you buy a used laptop from a private party, you don't get any sort of warranty beyond DOA. DOA stands for "dead on arrival", a common auction term that means the seller guarantees the item will work when it arrives at your house. But what happens if your laptop dies two weeks after it arrives? You're out of luck, that's what. There are enough bargains available on warrantied laptops that all but the most meager budgets should be able to avoid buying used. Stick to clearance and refurb machines and you'll save yourself hundreds on your next laptop computer. Copyright (c) 2004 HowToBuyALaptop.com. Correctional Institution Preventive Maintenance Software
There is a great need for preventive maintenance in correctional institutions. The public would be at risk if penal facilities waited to solve problems until after they manifested themselves. Correctional institution preventive maintenance software is necessary to ensure that life in the facility runs smoothly and none of the prisoners escape. As the governments and other organizations allot revenues for correctional facilities, there may be debate about the costs of such maintenance. Although the software is expensive, it is both effective and necessary.

DVD Media
DVD is an optical disc storage media format that can be used for storing data, including movies with high video and sound quality. DVDs resemble compact discs: their physical dimensions are the same-12cm or the mini 8cm-but they are encoded in a different format and at a much higher density. Unlike CDs, all DVDs must contain a file system. This file system is called UDF, and is an extension of the ISO 9660 Standard used for Data-CDs.

What Is A Fuse? And How To Test It.
A fuse is a very thin wire, which either melts or vaporizes when too much current flows through it. The thin wire may be made of aluminum, tin-coated copper or nickel. The resulting open in the circuit stops current flow. In electronic equipment, most fuses are cylindrical glass or ceramic type with a metal cap at each end! The current rating also can be seen in one of the two metal end caps. There are two popular physical sizes: 1 ? X - inch and 5X20mm. The 1 ? X - inch size is used in many automobiles. You'll find both sizes in many electronic equipment, but the smaller 5 X 20mm has become more common. Fuses are available with current ratings from 1/500 Ampere to hundreds of amperes.

Five Band Resistor Color Code-What Does The Last Band Of White Color Represent?
In electronic repair, most of the time i came across five band resistor color code. The purpose of using the five colour band resistor in a circuit is that it provide a more accurate value compare to the four color band. For example in order to get the value of 22.6kohm, with four colors band resistor you will not be able to find it. The most you can get is 22k
(red, red, orange and gold). If with the five color band you will be able to calculate it (red, red, blue, red, brown)the last color which is brown represent 1% tolerance. You may go to google search engine and type resistor color code, resistor color coding, resistor color code calculator, or resistor color code chart to know more about how to calculate a five band resistor values.
The Merging of Humans and Computers
Soon the human brain will be completely interfaced with the computer. The benefit to mankind will be truly significant. The truth is that Arthur C Clark in his short stories talked about groups of people being connected in real time by neuron transmitting devises below the skin. You might even have all the world's knowledge and latest research all in a chip connected to your brain. Today we see the beginnings of this with teens with cell phones and PDA devices used in Flash Mobs. Such a computer, communication, brain interface would be the next logical step as SciFi meets Moore's Law and MIT completes their latest Media Lab exploit of Nano tech gone wild.
